Our Alabama Bryant-Denny Stadium Series Football Story & Inspiration:
ROLL TIDE. Denny Stadium first opened its doors 93 years ago in 1929, and was named after George H. Denny, the school's president (1912 until 1932). The stadium was renamed after veteran head coach and alumni Paul "Bear" Bryant by the state legislature in 1975. Bryant coached the Tide for seven more seasons, until 1982, and is one of just a few Division I coaches to have coached in a stadium named after him. The Bryant-Denny collaboration indeed!
Bryant–Denny Stadium is an outdoor stadium on the University of Alabama's campus in Tuscaloosa. Bryant–Denny Stadium is the home of the Southeastern Conference's Alabama Crimson Tide football team (SEC). For the 2008 season, each SEC team's home field received two identical SEC logos. The primary color for the logos at Bryant–Denny was Alabama's crimson. These logos were, and continue to be, put in the same areas as the previous logos.
